Privacy Policy

Effective Date: June 4, 2026

LostPetsCIA.com (referred to as "we," "our," or "the Platform") is committed to maintaining the security, integrity, and privacy of the data provided by our users. This Privacy Policy outlines how we collect, process, utilize, and protect your information when you interact with our aggregated regional alert system.

1. Information We Collect

To provide automated, regional lost pet notifications, the Platform collects specific criteria directly from your inputs:

  • Voluntary User Telemetry: Your email address, which is required exclusively to route automated alert notifications to your inbox.

  • Geographic & Species Parameters: The specific State, Town, and Species parameters you select to define your custom monitoring zone.

  • Publicly Aggregated Data: Lost and found pet profiles systematically compiled from open, public regional databases, shelter feeds, and public notices.

2. Operational Data Utilization

Your data is used strictly to power the core functionality of the platform:

  • Automated Alert Routing: Your email and geographic criteria are mapped to process automated notification sweeps, dispatching matching public telemetry straight to your inbox.

  • System Optimization: Aggregated, non-identifiable search metrics (such as regional volume by town or species) may be analyzed to optimize database query distribution and scanning frequencies.

  • Zero Monetization: We do not sell, rent, lease, or trade user email addresses or search criteria to third-party marketing networks.

3. Data Retention and Security Protocols

  • Isolation Architecture: All user data is processed through secure database pipelines featuring strict field validation to prevent cross-contamination or unauthorized access.

  • Retention Boundaries: Email addresses and alert parameters are retained only for the duration of the active search loop. Users can terminate their monitoring sweep at any time, which purges their active alert routing entry from the notification loop.

  • External Safeguards: Our isolated ingestion workers process external public payloads within sandboxed environments to guarantee that corrupt or malicious third-party data cannot impact user-facing infrastructure.

5. Contact & Updates

We reserve the right to update this policy as the platform introduces direct user-input dashboards and dynamic geospatial display matrices. Continued use of the platform constitutes acceptance of the current data governance framework. For inquiries regarding data erasure or active alert termination, please contact the system administrator through the Platform portal.
